The All-rounder: Disposable Gloves Made Of Nitrile

To the products

The material of the nitrile gloves is a synthetic rubber (acrylonitrile butadiene rubber). They hardly differ in handling from conventional latex gloves, but are slightly less elastic and stretchy than latex gloves. Nevertheless, they are quite robust and significantly more stretchy than, for example, simple vinyl gloves. The wearing comfort is also comparable to a latex glove, as is the tactile sensation when working. The complete absence of latex makes the nitrile glove the first choice for allergy sufferers who react to latex proteins.

Nitrile's key advantages lie in its resistance to various substances: handling alcohols, solvents, acids, fats and oils is no problem at all. In contrast, latex or vinyl hand gloves react with fat and oil, which is why they are hardly suitable for processing food, for example.

There is therefore no alternative to nitrile gloves when handling and processing food. However, for use in catering and the like, a food safety declaration should be available for the individual models.

Due to the wide range of possible uses and higher production costs, nitrile gloves are slightly more expensive than latex or vinyl gloves.

Industry compass nitrile gloves

Cleaning and hygiene industry: Good skin protection when handling cleaning, cleaning and disinfectant products.

Laboratory use: The high chemical resistance of nitrile makes the material the first choice in many laboratories - here they are significantly superior to latex or vinyl gloves.

Food industry and gastronomy: Hygiene is the top priority when handling food and is always well received by customers. Because nitrile gloves are particularly oil and grease resistant, they are considered standard in the industry.

Hairdressing and cosmetics: Chemicals such as hair dyes and detergents can attack the skin - nitrile gloves provide reliable protection here.

Tattoo and piercing studios: Medical gloves are required when working here as there is a risk of infection. When buying gloves, pay attention to the EU standard 455.

Medicine and care: Here too, nitrile gloves are becoming more and more popular, especially among people with latex allergies.
