The durable vinyltrile disposable gloves are an inexpensive synthesis of simple vinyl and nitrile. The disadvantages of a simple vinyl glove are leveled out by the addition of nitrile - the glove is around 20 percent more tear-resistant and stretchy than a pure vinyl glove. The price advantage remains, which is why vinyltrile gloves can be an interesting alternative if latex or nitrile are not desired.
However, gloves containing vinyl are not recommended for handling food. When it comes into contact with fat, the “plasticizers” can dissolve from the plastic and diffuse into the food.
