Disposable Gloves in the 2nd Quarter of 2022
The market relaxation in the expiring Corona phase is counteracted by the energy crisis in price formation.
On the one hand, we are observing a relaxation in the glove market due to the end of the Corona phase and, on the other hand, price-increasing effects of the energy crisis, which are reflected in both production and global logistics. In particular, the costs of truck transport within Europe have risen significantly in the last week.
We therefore expect the price to temporarily stabilize at the current level in the second quarter of 2022, well below the prices of last year.
International shipping shipments are still regularly delayed by several weeks, even though the required quantities of gloves are sufficiently available on the world market. We can currently avoid major failures through appropriate inventory management, although short-term bottlenecks cannot be ruled out for individual colors and sizes.
